General Information
Winter Concert Dates and Times: due to the gym capacity, there is a need to have two winter concert performances. Your child's class will perform on one night only. The winter concert dates will be Tuesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 13th. There will be a dress rehearsal on each date from 1 to 2:30 pm and an evening performance from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. For the evening performances, doors will open at 6:10 pm. A notice will go home early this week with details about the dates each class will perform. Tickets will be required. Tickets will be no charge, but there will be a donation basket at the door, should you wish to contribute to the Performing Arts Program at Rogers as well as our 2012 sponsored charity.
Rain at school: on the days when there is misty rain, we will have students go out for recess. We believe the children need fresh air and physical activity. Please send your child to school with suitable clothing for the weather of the day. Thanks!
Term One Report Cards: report cards go home on Friday, November 30th.
Internet and Your Child: to read some information for parents about your child and the Internet, go to the Rogers home page at: http://rogerselementary.blogspot.ca/
Waste Free Lunches: we are having some difficulties with our recycling program at Rogers. The biggest culprits seem to be juice boxes and one-time-use containers (yogurt, pudding, fruit cups). Please have a look at the post on the Rogers Blog: http://rogerselementary.blogspot.ca/

Lice Squad: Thanks to the parents who have volunteered to be on the "Lice Squad". We will continue to have head checks done for the remaining classes on Tuesday. It is recommended that parents do head checks for lice and nits daily at home. Should you have any questions, please contact the school Principal, Ms. Maryanne Trofimuk at 250-727-0188.
