General Information:

Traffic: if you drop a child off at the DROP OFF ZONE in the morning, please drop the child off on the outside of the traffic circle by the curb, NOT on the inside of the circle. It is very dangerous letting a child out on the inside of the circle where there is moving traffic. As well, to make the drop off more efficient, it is requested that the child being dropped off is sitting on the right hand side of the car (passenger's side) so s/he can get out quickly with the help of the patrollers at the drop off zone. Thank you for helping to make the flow of traffic safe and smooth!

Colds or Flu: If your child has a cold or flu, please keep him/her home until she is feeling better. Thank you.

Lice: please regularly check your child's hair for lice. If you child has lice, please notify the school immediately and treat your child's hair immediately.

K-12 Transfer Process:
The purpose of the K-12 Student Transfer Process is to accommodate students in attending the school of their choice. All students in the Greater Victoria School District are members of a Family of Schools. A Family of Schools is comprised of several elementary schools from which students move to a designated middle school and from there to a designated secondary school. Students who move in this manner will not be required to complete a Student Transfer Application form. At any grade level, when students want to change schools (or pathways), they will complete the Student Transfer Application form.

The K-12 Student Transfer Process takes place from February 14 – 22, 2013. Students who wish to transfer to a school other than their designated school for the 2013/2014 school year, will complete a K-12 Student Transfer Application form between February 14 – 22, 2013. The transfer application forms will be available at all schools starting February 14 until February 22, 2013. They will also be posted on our District website, www.sd61.bc.ca between February 14 and 22, 2013.
