General Information
Snow: if we have snow or freezing rain and the hill to Rogers is slippery, we will close the gates and ask that students walk up the hill. Safety first. Thank you!
We are now approaching the season when inclement weather may affect the safety and welfare of students. In particular, snowy weather has the potential to cause school closure or some School District 61 services to be suspended.
During inclement weather, information about schools will be updated continuously on the Greater Victoria School District 61 website at http://www.sd61.bc.ca/.
Within the Greater Victoria School District, the Superintendent of Schools will provide media outlets with information about the status of our facilities and transportation services by 6:30 a.m.
Our school blog will also be updated for potential school closure due to weather.
Parking Lot Safety: our parking lot drop off circle is running smoothly in the mornings. We appreciate that everyone is working in unison for the safety and ease of all students getting to school. If you need a helping hand getting your child to class from the front of the school, please ask one of the supervisors or Ms. Trofimuk and we would be happy to help you out!

Mittens for Bolivia: students will be bringing home a "Gift of Giving" mitten. We are asking parents to consider a donation for the "Gift of Giving" mitten. All proceeds from the sale of the mittens will go towards our global service support initiative for the Casa Nazareth orphanage in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Thank you in advance for your support.
Winter Performance - I Need A Little Christmas Vacation: thank you to all of the families who came out to see our Winter Performances. It was a delight to have so many families and friends at the school! The singing, dancing and festive spirits were incredible! To quote a line in the performance, "The next best thing to being with family at Christmas is being at school with your friends and the people you care about". We are so happy to have one more week of school before the Winter Break 2012 to be with our school friends! Thank you for your generous donations; we raised $996 for performance equipment at Rogers!
